In-store music provider Imagesound is branching out and exploring new marketplaces. Traditionally an in-store music provider to major high street retail brands Imagesound has recently begun working on visual solutions expanding its reach across different marketplaces. GB Boxing is based at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield where a state of the art boxing hall was opened recently.

‘Working with GB Boxing has provided us with some valuable experience into the diverse applications of digital screens’ says Andy Lomax Project Manager at Imagesound. Andy headed up the project at Imagesound and worked with GB Boxing and Sheffield Hallam to deliver a screen based solution to deliver training feedback to the GB Development Squad in the build up to the 2012 London games.

Robert Gibson commented:

‘GB Boxing, as part of its vision in taking Great Britain to the heights of Olympic boxing in 2012, have invested into a bespoke feedback solution consisting of 5 pan tilt zoom cameras capturing training footage with the capability to be fed back to athletes immediately on one or more of five plasma screens enabling boxers to accelerate their development through high quality visual feedback.

The partnership between Sheffield Hallam, Imagesound and UK Sport has enabled this unique feedback solution to be realised.’
